Happy Lunar New Year!

I wish you all wealth and luck, the strength and health of a dragon and horse, and fish bounty every year!

I pretty much missed all of the festivities this year since I'm spending my days away from home. However, I'm gonna put on nice clothes in the morning and not be sad. I'm totally missing the feast at home but hopefully when I go back this weekend there will at least be (better be) lucky money waiting for me and left over lucky candy. I don't really know what lucky candy is by the way. I just assume all the candy they sell around this time is lucky. I didn't buy new clothes for the New Year but I got another set of scubs so that should count for something right? Also, the Gods or faeries of Luck should not smite me for failing to buy new linens. I had no time to go to Ikea. ;_;

Drink tea and be prosperous!

Happy, happy holidays to you all! ^________^

LJ hasn't seen the likes of me for days but I'll fill you in.

Christmas Eve was fantastic! My Meta lucky pack arrived in the morning and I was happily trying on the new goods for a good portion of the morning. (Picture post on another day, I promise!) I had sushi with [info]euphro_syne and then we went on to do some reckless shopping.

I have been looking for a new fragrance for ages and this is it:

A warm welcome to Salvatore Ferragamo's Incanto Shine as the new addition to my perfume collection. It smells as fresh and lovely as it looks. Its sibling, Incanto Charms, was also very nice and I had some difficulty choosing between the two fragrances.

Christmas day was admittedly anti-climatic compared to the awesome last few days I've had. I spent the day sleeping, eating, and playing Maplestory. (Level 46! :D) I suppose some good R&R is good before the pandemonium that we call Boxing Day shopping.

Alright, I'm keeping this short and sweet so that's about it. Good tidings and have fun roasting those chestnuts! :)

I bought candies for all my friends because I love giving people candy (even to those I don't really know :D)

Homemade marshmallow eggs dipped in belgian chocolate. Belgian chocolate bunnies and chicklets in different shapes and sizes. Dutch foiled eggs and bunnies. German foiled egg in actual eggs size. Yogurt covered pretzels. Sour gummy bunnies. British treacle toffee. Hersheys chocolate and malt Robins's Eggs.

The bad news is that I work so much I haven't been able to see any of you and candy does NOT stay long in my hands. So if I don't see any of you in a week or two most likely I opened up and ate your Easter goody packages. Very honest here. Haha ^^

You wouldn't believe the junk I ate for the last three days. x_x

Anyway, have a lovely, lovely long weekend or what's left of it. I hope your holiday has gone better than mine because I worked from Good Friday to today and will have to work tomorrow. (My body is still hurting from yesterday's 11 hour shift.)

p.s. I added back all the Ljers who recently added me. <3

KA-CHING! Roll in the lucky monies. :D :D :D *Has $100 in my pj pockets right now*

New year dinner was yummy. I'm craving the tiny orange things. I don't remember what they're called but they're...uh...lucky. ^^

I want to go to the Lunar festival tomorrow. It'll be the last day so if I don't go tomorrow I will have to wait another year.

This is daddy's year. I love how my mother is born in the year of the snake in contrast to dad's pig. My parents are destined to be in conflict according to the Chinese zodiac. Also, the fact that they're born 6 years apart is considered bad luck. XD

GTA_lolita missed them :p )

Happy Luna New Year!

I spent today celebrating my friend's 19th birthday at a buffet. We ate ourselves silly. It was quite painful actually. When you hit a certain stage of being full you start to get all shivery. :s

Well, I have to take out my contacts now and then watch more of the seven DVDs I bought today. Just a FYI to horror fans that Dark Tales of Japan sucks. There was a whole short story dedicated to crevices which is as lame as it sounds. It involved a guy with a lot of duct tape. -_-;;

Spent this New Years Eve with Zi, Tiff, and Kelly and her bf :p Kenji(sp?)

New Years 2006 = Sushi + karaoke

Didn't drink at all though Zi did try to tempt me with her brown cow. (Which tastes a lot better than it sounds) Eh, that's okay I'm a strawberry pina colada and sour apple martini girl anyway a Shirley Temple on the rocks ^^

Came home at 4 am though I didn't fall asleep until at least 5:30. Despite this, I woke up pretty early this morning. *Pats self on back*

My stupid digi cam was low on battery but [info]toisanmui has some pics.

[Edit]

In the year 2006 I resolve to:

Obviously I kept clicking until I found one that's doable. :D

Just watched an hour documentary of the mating rituals of the Tasmanian Devil. It's extremely cool. So kinky and aggressive. Apparently studies showed that the females tend to go for the older and more experienced males. :D

Australia really has some wicked animals. I can watching those kangaroos scratch themselves forever. Scratch, scratch, scratch. Heck, not just the kangaroos...the wallabies too.

And Koalas - how can you not love them? I just want to shove my ugly human face into its grey furred blubber.

Marsupial. I like saying that word now.

[Edit] Happy Thanksgiving etc. etc. for us Canadians. Blah blah.

Fireworks are popping outside. I can hear them from my bedroom window. It's so unusually windy today, the breezes are really nice compared to the stifling heat we've had for the last week. Too bad we had to cancel our swimming plans. I'm dying to see Z's new bikini. Hey, M showed me hers and it's only fair if I get to see yours too Z. ^^

Another useless meme thing below. I can just imagine introducing myself this way to someone o_O

"Hello, my name is Emily. My kiss is breath taking; my hugs are to die for. P.S. My eyes are twinkles in the moonlight."

Your love is... by ChibiMarronchan

Valentine's Day, working at a chocolate store – you do the math.

Recently I've noticed:
- Hershey's kisses taste like crap now.
- I don't think I can ever stand buying a chocolate bar.
- I enjoy water a lot more.
- We have way too many sugar products

Did you know that the same thing with alcohol in beer applies to sugar in donuts here in Canada? The donuts made for consumers in Canada are way sweeter than the ones in United States. We are the fattest country in the world and it's a fact.

Have you ever walked into a clinic or hospital in here in Toronto? Posters of "live healthy, prevent obesity" dominating stark white walls.

Happy New years! I'm not big on gluing myself to the TV nor do you find me out partying with crazy people in city hall. A simple post on LJ will suit quite well. It's amazing how a year passed so quickly. Wasn't there an experimental study that showed that as a person grows older they experience time faster? I'm certain I can dig up that old article from my psych days. Anyway, I believe I would agree with this concept because a year was forever when I was six or seven. Things change.
Barely half an hour to go before we Torontonians officially descend into 2005. I do mean "descend" referring to watching the big shiny ball drop.

Resolutions? No, I'm just way to jaded for that.
