22nd-Oct-2009 01:32 am - Nuit Blanche photo

I am going through some files on my computer just in case it dies out on me. If you follow me on Twitter, you'd know that I am experiencing the vertical LCD line of death for iMACs. It's a sign that my computer or at least the screen is nearing it's time. Anyway, I figured I should post some random photos on my LJ before I lose it.

Below is a pic from Nuit Blanche 2009. We stayed up past 4am that night. I can't believe we ate pho at those inhuman hours. Getting up for work the next morning was killer.

I was sitting on the steps of the old city hall with Miso. I brought him along out of guilt for not walking him that whole day.

It feels like Friday already. ^^ All these lovely presents. I love my brownies! I love Zi! What a sweetie! She wrapped each of them herself and gave them to me at work. They're in such a cute bag too *loves* She earned a big bracket three from me. <3

Densie gave me a bracelet she made herself. She and I are so alike. She knew I'd appreciate the computer parts. Hehe...I call it the geek bracelet. How can you not feel warm and good when you receive something so thoughtful? ^^

I'm gonna be all ^^ for the rest of the night.

7th-Jul-2005 02:33 pm - London Bombing
Kera
An email I recieved earlier today:

"I wanted to express my sympathy and condolences for anyone affected by
the London bombings today. It's a terrible tragedy, and I hope all the
Londoners on are safe and ok."

That's how I found out about the news. It's terrible and already I can see the surge of racism from articles such as this...

americandaily.com - Am I crazy or is this an attack on all Islamic people and their region?

My response to Pete Fisher: 'Cause Allah just hates all Caucasians doesn't he?

I'm disgusted.
29th-Jun-2005 11:04 pm - Grad
Kera
Came back from graduation (or commencement as some would like to call it) a half hour ago. A very nostalgic four hours. Extremely hot and sticky in the auditorium especially under those black gowns and tassle hats. There are a lot of people I know I will miss. It makes me feel happy that a few teachers that had retired came back to see us.

I also remember the times when I was the grad volunteer, setting up food and balloons.
23rd-Jun-2005 12:21 am - Prom
Kera
Just came back from PROM! My ears are still ringing not from the dance music at prom but the limo ride home. V turned up the volume so high I was surprised the driver didn’t freak.

Atlantis was elegant and had an extremely beautiful view of the city. UFA students really go all out for prom. I can honestly say everyone was tastefully dressed. It really makes a girl self-conscious. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but hopefully the ones I did take were good.

I had sipped so many Shirley Temples throughout the night I'm surprised I didn't go to the washroom a billion times. The dinner was very light: a salad, chicken, and then desert. The food was sufficient in taste but we just didn’t much of it. The table settings were simple but chic. I think I shed enough sparkles onto their white chairs to make cleaning a bitch. Ha.

My feet are aching from all that dancing. I ditched the high heels after a few songs but it was still painful to be on my feet.

I opted not to got to the after party. I'm not much of a drinker anyway.

Now I'm a little sad. So much anticipation previously and now it's to an end.

This is my one and only prom night and it is over.

Wont you light a candle?
2nd-Nov-2004 03:41 pm - Vote Today America!
Kera
Don't forget to vote all you people of America! Vote, vote, vote. Being apathetic is letting others choose for you!
Neither democrats or republicans have any significant advantages or leads so it will be interesting on how it turns out.
Remember, this does affect the world, especially since foreign policy has been brought to the front as one of the main issues of the 2004 US election campaigns. I may be Canadian and more to the left but I urge Americans to head over to those polling locations and vote their hearts out whether they support one or the other.

(I will spare you my personal political opinions for until another time.)

Saw the opening ceremonies of the Athens 2004 Olympic games today. The floats and costumes were beautiful, especially the mankind's walk down history. I enjoyed the drums; symbolic heartbeats.

Also, what certainly amused me was probably the google image for today. I'm a simple girl, what can I say?
